TREND PHOTO SHOOT

Last Friday my FMC class did our first in-studio photo shoot inspired by our WGSN SS20 trend. I chose to look at designing emotions 'New Renaissance' micro-trend which explores a new found appreciation for pre-tech times. We were asked to bring a selection of things for styling and to put together some ideas of mood, stance, atmosphere, and attitude for the model Amber to look at.

One of my favourite pictures from the shoot

Inspired by Vivienne Westwood's 1990 portrait collection, I decided to transfer print one of my favourite Boucher paintings onto a modern t-shirt for the shoot. I love how the classic painting looks juxtaposed against the denim. As my trend comes from the macro-trend 'designing emotion' I  also chose to style the shoot with some roses as a way of connecting with nature.

Fellow FMC students Ebony & Molly covered hair and make up for the shoot. I like how the lip colour corresponds with the pop of red in the rose and the rubies in the necklace - which belonged to my great, great, great *breathe* grandmother.

The photographs were taken in the photography studio by Tabitha. I really enjoyed working with her on set, it's crazy how you can achieve completely different photos just by adjusting simple things.  I'm so happy with how the photos came out and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Insta ready: Behind the scenes action shot!

...that's a wrap!
